Canada’s official opposition party now stands firmly against usage-based billing (UBB) for Internet service.

The condemnation is in response to the CRTC, Canada’s national telecom regulator, releasing a decision last week allowing large Canadian Internet service providers (ISPs) to charge smaller providers based on the amount of data they transfer across their networks each month.
