G20: Toronto closed for business!

With theatres, trains and even the CN Tower shut down, what will be left for the city to showcase to the world?

As our politicians wax prophetic about how the G20 summit will “showcase” Toronto to the world, it seems hard to fathom that a city without the CN Tower, without the Blue Jays, without Mirvish musicals and without train service is what they had in mind.

  1. Where do these civil servants get their sense of entitlement? They work for us! They should be embarrassed about spending our money and inconveniencing us. Where is the shame?

And why do we tolerate it?

  2. Good question Jim! Problem is that many protestors will be declaring their outrage over the spending associated with this giant "parade" but the police, army and other services are already intimidating the protestors as was seen today to quiet them! This is an outrage and as the article states, how can we be "showing off Toronto" when Toronto will be shut down for this zoo!!!
