Five fun-filled family theme parks this summer!

For a family vacation that will have the kids jumping for joy, you can't go wrong with a theme park. Here are some Canadian parks and a few more that are only a short road trip from the border.

Located just north of Toronto, CANADA'S WONDERLAND has more than 200 attractins. New in 2010 is Planet Snoopy featuring three rides and the skating show Snoopy on Ice. Add Splash Works, which offers 20 acres of water-park fun, and you'll have yourself a full day.

At MARINELAND in Niagara Falls you can watch whales, dolphins and sea lions perform, which is sure to charm your brood. there are plenty of rides for all ages, as well as one that requires a true test of bravery - Sky Screamer is the highest triple tower ride in the world.

Load your sleeping bags in the car and grab your passport before heading to DARIEN LAKE in western New York. With the on-site campground, you can set up camp and then walk over to the park to enjoy roller coasters called Boomerang, Mind Eraser and Predator. If you'd rather do something involving a little less adrenaline, cool off in the water park, where you can experience life as a pirate in Hooks Lagoon.

SIX FLAGS NEW ENGLAND in Springfield, Mass., is a great choice if you have a comic book fan in the family. With several DC Superhero Adventure rides on site, you can decide if you`d like a tamer option, such as Catwoman`s Whip, or a more thrilling experience, such as Batman - The Dark Knight.

Located on Lake Erie in Sandusky, Ohio, CEDAR POINT boasts more roller coasters than any other park in the world - 17 in total, bringing the number of rides in this 365-acre park to 75. Add Soak City, a water park, and Challenge Park, an activity area with go-karts, miniature golf and more, and this may well be a kid's idea of paradise. No wonder Cedar Point has been in business since 1870.
